Director, CEO MasterMind Chair & Leadership Mastery Coach
Sydney Joyner has over 25 years’ experience working with chief executives on their business strategies, leadership development, and organizational dynamics.
As founder and president of The Joyner Group, Sydney consults, facilitates and coaches with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other members of the executive team on their leadership performance, roles and responsibilities. Her firm's other services and tools include leadership development plans, executive succession and generational transition, organizational change management, communications messaging and rollouts, and team formation and processes.
CEOs of companies experiencing start-up challenges, rapid growth, life cycle changes in launching new products and services, and integrating new executives have benefited from her services, insight, and compelling experience.
Sydney has served on the boards of Oregon Public Broadcast, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Oregon College of Art and Craft, and the Portland Creative Conference. She holds an MBA from Marylhurst University with a concentration in Organizational Development. She has also taught as an adjunct professor in Organizational Design and Entrepreneurialism at Portland State University and Marylhurst University.
When Sydney is not working on The Joyner Group projects, she spends her time pursuing her passions of traveling, gardening, painting, and riding motorcycles. They all provide what she describes as “Zen” moments and inspiration – where time is not measured, just experienced and enjoyed. She looks forward to early spring weekends traveling to the local farms and nurseries to add to her already abundant plantings of hydrangeas, heirloom roses, and lavender.
This coming year a motorcycle trip to the southwest Painted Desert and touring trip to the Tuscany hills in Italy are on the wish list.
